'I he iirst yearbook of our school appeared in l908. The hrst book was a paper bound affair illustrated with a few sketches, and was a complete antithesis of today's publication. The present title, The Tatler,'l appeared in 1915, and its name was given by Agnew Larsen, a member of the class. The production of The Tatlerf is a year-long project. Treasurer Edward Walters Advisor The Alpha Debating Society is the oldest or- ganization in William Penn. They have had a long and prosperous history. The society meets every Monday evening. Programs consist of de- bating, public speaking, dramatics and training in Parliamentary Procedure. They meet with other literary societies several times a year for social get President . .....,., Henry Owen . .. . ,Lewis Levin William Gemmill Gary Zeager togethers. Each year the school looks forward to the A.D.S. assembly program which is always ex- cellent. Candidates for membership are seen wearing the gold and black ties. They undergo a tedious initiation willingly since it is an honor to be the wearer of an Alphan pin.
