During our first few weeks in this school, we were thrilled and not il little awed by the things going on around us. lVe soon became accustomed to our surroundings and started to actively participate in the activities of the school. Although we have not as yet elected any class officers or done anything as a class, we are looking forward to doing this in the near future. I don't know of any sophomore who was initiated in any radical way as students of many st-hools are. The team-hers I have. all suit me. They are pleasant and teach 1119 something. The pupils are. for the most part. courteous. The things that have impressed me most are the tine school spirit. and the aeeoln- plislnnents of the students. The York High Weekly is a splendid example of what the pupils of this school can do. The Handbook is of special help to sophomores in finding themselves in a new building. I think this is a very good idea. I know it has helped me ill various things. The student government is one of the highest calibre. It is a real. ll0lllUl'l'2lfll' govern- ment with everyone having equal rights. The assemblies. three times a week. are usually interesting. They are another example of what the pupils. with the aid of the faculty. can do. In athletim-s, liner school spirit c-ould not exist. Although the teams may lose. there is always a large group of enthusiastic supporters at the games. The building has some of the hest equipment found in modern high st-hools. The gymnasium is especially well equipped. The auditorium is also of high quality. I do not have much more work to do than formerly: and so 1 am satistied with xvillilllll Penn.
