Mrs. L. M. Jones A.B., Bennett College Further study: Gardner-Webb College TRODUCES STUDENTS TO CULTURE OF OTHER NATIONS The aim of the foreign languages department is to introduce students to the ideas and customs of other nationalities through the study of oral language and literature. A better understanding and greater apprecia¬ tion of the English language is encouraged through these studies. The language department has access to one well equipped language laboratory where each student has an individual microphone. This laboratory, together with modern teaching methods, enable the language students to enhance their ability to speak as well as write the languages they are learning.
