Co-sponsors of the Modern Music Makers and directors, respectively, of the band and choirs, Mr. J. Y. Bell and Miss Mary P. Browne lend their efforts to the enlivenment, enrichment and entertainment of students at Perm. Today ' s emphasis on the broad area of the hu- manities has served to give new impetus and mean- ing to the area of the social studies. Penn offers sociology, economics, social problems, world his- tory, U. S. history and government. Teachers in this area are Mr. P. R. Swann, Misses G. D. Smith, E. L. McConnell and Cynthia McDonald.
