During this, their initial year in high school, the first year students were capably led by Shirley Sellers, president; Eddie Clinton, vice-president; Chester Me- bane, secretary; Gloria Martin, assistant secretary; Shirley Gainey, treasurer; and Jacqueline Watts, re- porter. They were active participants in all phases of high school life, as they adjusted beautifully to their new home base. They are active members of many organizations, and they have displayed a variety of talents. They look back happily to homecoming prepar- ations, the packing of their Thanksgiving box and their Christmas parties. CLASS OFFICERS

They selected the following as their officers for the year: Wallace Bailey, president; Stanley Sims, vice-president; Helen Goode, secretary; and Elizabeth Green, treasurer. Excitedly they looked forward to the crown- ing event of the junior year, their prom! They chose as their theme, EVENING IN PARIS. Members were very active in school and com- munity affairs.
