URBAN EDUCATION i he Uivision ot Urban btudies pre- pares the student not only for the teaching but also for careers in the social services. The program is basi- cally directed at those students who wish to work in the urban areas. Asso- ciate Dean Dr. William M. Willis is in charge of the three Urban Studies programs: William M. Willis, is in charge of the three Urban Studies programs: Urban Education (gradu- ate level only), Black Studies and Early Childhood. The Black Studies faculty offer both a major and minor program, plus a variety of courses on the Afro- American experience. Black Studies can be combined with other social sciences and humanities programs and prepare students for teaching, law, and public service.
