92 By BEVERLY HOLLON Several students of William Mason High School are to be congratulated on their magnificent artistic talents. The Southern Ohio Regional of the National Scholastic Art Exhibition, sponsored by Shillitols, was the competition ten of our students entered. Each school was permitted ten entries only, and out of ten en- tries from Mason five students received awards. The Gold Key, highest award possible, went to Mike Mays, a senior, for his sculpture. Gold Keys also went to Cathy Richards and Carolyn O'Banion, both sophomores, who each entered a textile design. Honorable mention was given to Bill Pugh, a senior, and Jean Desfosses, a sophomore, each having entered a 3-D design. These students received their awardslast Saturday, Feb. 12, at downtown Shillito's. A field trip of the art classes and photo club was taken Feb. 9 in order that the students could view the fine exhibition of art work from all over Southern Ohio. Congratulations again to these talented art students. Mason Seniors Tour Europe Becky Tignor, and Vicki Anderson. Three seniors from William Mason High School and their class adviser Andrew Hendrix are home after a jaunt through Europe. Jane Schutte, Kathy Green and Bill McDonald had a great time. There was more this year than lastf, said Mr. Hendrix. uThe guides stayed with the group and set things up as we went along. It's a great, fantastic trip in all ways. The kids saw a lot more. Our main purpose was seeing distributive business and manufacturing wor . The tour was sponsored by the Cleve! a n d Distributive Education Teachers Association. The students are members of DECA iDistributive Education Clubs of America. Focal points of the tour were Amsterdam, Haarlem, Volan- dam and Rotterdam in The Netherlands; Brussels, Belgium; Luxembourg, Paris and Riems, France. Air travel was by jet, land excursions by bus. 91

Everyone seemed well pleased with the Homecoming WI, which Student Council planned and arranged for everyone's en- joyment.
