DEBATE TEAM M .at Each year the Debate Team, composed of students interested in argumentation and debate, prepares and presents the affirmative and negative cases for the national debate topic, Which is selected by the National Forensic League. The Debate Team, coached this year by Mr. Jim Orr, participated in three pre-tournament debates and won two. In the Warren County Debate Tourna- ment the Mason affirmative team was the only undefeated team. Mr. Orr and Karen Gray, who was selected as the outstanding debator of the Warren County Debate . SCIENCE CLUB Any student interested in physical or natural science can increase his lmowledge by joining the Science Club. In addition to fund raising projects and field trips, the club's major pro- is the annual Science Fair. This year's fair was held February 19. The nine participants were evaluated by the judges on the basis of the presentation of the project and knowledge of the scientific field. The fair was termed a success as 2 students received superior ratings, 4 received excellent ratings, 2 received ratings of good and 1 receivedarat- ing of satisfaction. Barb Wilkens went on to the State Science Fair in Columbus and receiveda rating of excellent.
