E Students interested in teaching as a career comprise the FTA. The objectives of the club are directed toward orienting high school stu- dents to the teaching profession, guiding them, and helping them evaluate themselves in rela- tion to teaching as a career. This year vari- ous aspects of teaching were represented by films, speeches, and a fieldtrip to Mariemont High School where open school environment was observed. 81

The Language Club is composed of students interested in foreign languages and cultures. Their monthly meetings this year featured programs on Sweden, San Salvador, Chile, and Brazil. The club took a field trip to German Village in Columbus. As a special project this year, members of the club helped spon- sor the exchange student from Brazil. LANGUAGE CLUB OFFICERS: Mrs. Goode and Mrs. Murphy, advisers; Sherry Rogers, presi- dent; Rita Judd, secretary; Linda Simpson, sec- retary; and Roger Bell, vice president.
