Mr. Alan Curry Assistant Principal This yearbook reflects the proud tra- dition that has become a symbol of the accomplishments associated with Col- mer Junior High School. It is a living record of the events and activities of the past, and it is representative of the excellence which has always been asso- ciated with Colmer. To serve as principal of such a school is an honor not to be taken lightly, for my success, along with the success of the school, is determined by the dedica- tion and cooperation of each student, parent, and faculty member of Colmer Junior High School.  I am honored and very surprised. said Mr. Harvey McGee upon hearing that he had been selected as the 1980-81 teacher of the year for the Pascagoula School System. Mr. McGee has been teaching school for 27 years, with 13 taught here at Colmer. He was born in Ackerman. Miss., and went to Mississippi State University for five years. He has a bachelor’s and master’s degree in education. He began teaching when he was 21 years old. He has taught seventh through twelfth grades and also history courses at USM. He has taught English, math. American history, state government, and Colorado history in Colorado. He was also an assistant principal for three years. Fishing and gardening are some of his hobbies, and he says that out of all the places he has taught, he enjoys Colmer the most. He also says that he hopes to spend many more years here.
