here is something peculiar about a college annual, something not met with in quite the same form anywhere else in the world. College annuals are a pro- duct of youth, and youth is age before the mortar of care and experience has set. Per- haps in youth we feel more keenly than at any other time the endless flux of life, and the absence of black and white. Nothing is definiteg all is merging, running, flowing into something else. During this Period of the realization of indefinitness, youth often leaves some landmark. Thus does the Junior Class of '56 present this book.
