Warrior Squad Completes F ighting Season No Harrison football team has Hlaid the blueprints of victory,l as well as this years team which surpassed all other years with its string of wins. Although the season was highly successful in that we achieved a record number of seven wins, a tie with the dominating city football team, a defeat of both the favored S.I.A.C. team and the eventual city and S.I.A.C. champs, a giant gap of two games was left. After a heartbreaking 6-0 loss in the seasons opener with North, Coach Don Watsonls Warriors showed the other city coaches how the game is played. While on the 11warpathu the Warriors defeated the eventual city champs, Memorial, in a 20-0 decision. SENIOR FULLBACK TIM Buehner awaits the handoff from Quarterback Terry Wedgewood. This play went around the end for a first down. 30 The following week brought a heart-stopper, as the War- riors battled the strong Reitz squad to a 12-12 tie, in a game that went all the way down to the wire. A series of five straight victories followed as the Warriors mowed down Central 23-6, Vincennes 58-6, Mt. Vernon 57-14, New Albany 33-0, and Bosse 19-14. The Warriors Victories over New Albany and Bosse were both hard fought wins and a test of the Warriors strength. Mater Dei proved to be the game that we would most like to forget as the Warriors were routed in a 13-0 decision. The final game of the season proved to be more exciting and a better game to view as the Warriors trounced Rex Mundi, 41-7. IS THERE REALLY a ball down there?
