TYPICAL OF HIM was the individual attention he gave to every student as here shown during an assembly with Bob Richards. Mr. Forney Exemplified True Warrior Spirit As members of the Harrison student body we have been indeed fortunate to have our future succeSs so well assured by the devotion, enthusiasm and spirit of such a leader as Mr. Paul G. Forney. He has left us a proud tradition and a firm foundation on which we shall continue to build and shape Harrisonis future. The feelings of trust and reliance we all shared for Mr. Forney made it even more difficult for us to accept the news of his death last: July 22. And yet it couldnit be said he died without having accomplished the largest and most demanding responsibility facing the principal of a new high school: that of bringing together the many school loyalties into one united effort. Probably Mr. Forney felt the most important ingredient in a successful school was student leadership, which he stressed in all areas of student affairs. He reasoned that the Himportant way in which our school must fulfill its function in nurturing student development would be through opportunity for students to share active responsibility in school affairs? In admiration for accomplishment he was generous, always keeping an eye open for the small as well as the large. He possessed a ready smile and a personality which always made one feel special and respond willingly. Each of us has his own way of remembering him. Whether itls by some occasion on which you walked with him in the halls while he asked you all about yourself, or by a speech in a pep assembly, helll always be remembered as the man who set the proud standards by which welre working today.
