FLAG TEAM The rah-rah sis boom-bah cheer has gone the way of the beaver coat, nick- el beer, the Charleston, and dull half- time shows at football games. Instead. in came flag tricks, marching bands, drill teams, yells with social and moral significance, new wave dancing, and dazzling halftime displays that are as exciting as the game itself. Taft is no exception. The Flag Team and Drill Team are examples of the modern football spectacle. There's more to a football game today than a football game. Fans at Taft games are used to dazzling exhibitions by our 8-member Flag Team and the perfect precision of the Toreador Drill Team.
