J? l The Foreign Language Department offers courses in French, German, and Spanish, ranging from elemen- tary to college level advanced placement courses in these languag es. But don't think that all one learns in these classes is how to conjugate verbs and other such mun dane matters. The teachers also in- troduce the culture, literature, his- tory, and music of these foreign countries to the students.

Industrial Arts -.Qi Xxx kv-uv cis? .. uf 112-' f The Industrial Arts program provides numerous interesting as well as practical electives in addition to occupational training. Graphic Arts allows students the opportunity to work with printing presses and other related machinery, while advanced students print the Taft Tribune. The metal shop offers courses that provide instruction for working with sheet metal, bench metal, forging, welding, and machine practice. Architectural Drafting stresses the use of drafting tools and equipment, whereas Technical drafting tools and equipment and Technical Drafting is concerned mainly with basic layouts, drafting, and elec- tronic and dimensional designs. Auto shop offers multi- level instruction on automobile maintenance and repair with activities ranging from lube and oil to major engine overhaul.
