KNOWLEDGE BRING YOUR OWN CONTAINERS! Taft has traditionally been a strong academic school. Last year we ranked third among all of the Los Angeles City Schools on the senior math and English aptitude tests . First and second places were cap- tured by Palisades and Van Nuys respectively. The Class section represents all of the many facets of academics because these programs are for a large part responsible for the high achievements of Taft stu- dents .

Special slideftape presenta- tions allow teachers to introduce mate- rial in a format that is more interesting to the student. Overhead projectors save time and take up less space than blackboards. Calculators help students perform repetitious mathematical com- putations. Well equipped vocational classes provide students with simulated on-the-job training.
