During the long period that this building has stood, it has served its purpose well. Nearly three thousand students have passed through its doors to become the useful citi- zens of today. But no longer is this structure adequate, now a larger and more modern Fleming must be built to meet our needs. Our lives as students follow much the some pattern. Each year our accomplishments, our growth, our ideas are sufficient for that par- ticular stage of our development. Yet, like the Chambered Nautilus we must con- tinue to build more stately mansions . The workers erect the steel and lay the brick that will house our new school.
