All of us are proud of our school's accomplishments and growth over the years, and we treasure the Fleming spirit that has played so important a part in this progress. But our sense of pride does not blind us to the problem we face and the need for constant im- provement. We need the help of each one of you- as students and as citizens of the community--in making Fleming's next 25 years as successful as her first quarter-century. P. B. FOSTER wi viitix .1 ' ln a period of twenty-five years our school has grown from a small institution with about 152 pupils to one serving around l,lOO. We hope that our influence and worth to the community have grown accordingly. May each of us in the current family resolve to do our best in school and out, and thus our influence of the future of Roanoke will continue to spread through the years. W. A. COULTER Twenty-five years of public education mark a great milestone of service to thousands of youth. Congratulations to all of you who have made William Fleming High School the institution of high quality and fine character that it is today. l am confident that the past is only the prologue to an even greater high school, destined to con- tribute to higher standards of living and learning for those who educate and those who are educated there.
