Somehow, when we're seniors, though, we look back over the past five years-years that we thought of as being interminable-years that secretly sped by so quickly. Feeling and remembering living pictures from these five cherished years of our lives, we become aware of an odd sensation, for, even though Fleming is young, her traditions are well-rooted. There is a spirit in the school, gracefully overshadowing all the work, the troubles and the fun that come from these years. As we walk down the halls each clay, we are not aware that we are establishing new goals and carrying forth the traditions that make the feeling of belonging, of honor, of loyalty. As the time draws nearer and we think of leaving, we are very much aware of these traditions and of the students who have trod and widened the same path before us. They have given us a better feeling of security to aid us in climbing the steps to our next portal in life. It is with this slow realization and eternal memory that we, the Senior Class of '48, do hereby dedicate our annual to the traditions of the school as they are carried on in the many years to come by future Fleming students.
