we f Jew re ,fe S fwfffffff Though people have found many ways to enioy themselves, they have also found ways to hurt themselves. Sometimes selfish and blind, PEOPLE DESTROY the world and the people in it. Giving no atten- tion or caring little for the rights and property of others, people ruin in a short time that which may take years to restore or may even be irreplaceable. Countries are ravaged by war, and cities obliterated in the few seconds it takes to drop a bomb. Nature, given to man, is destroyed easily by the uncaring businessman who thinks only of money, or by the careless in- dividual who thinks it is someone eIse's job to take care of our environment. Some students, heedless of school property, mutilate it without even thinking about the damage they have done. The environment, the things given to people, the things made by people, only people can destroy. Although impossible to restore all they destroy, people have the power to create and build back what they so blindly have taken away from themselves. PO EPLE DESTROY! 11
