Language arts teach ready communication Language arts embraces all subjects dealing with communication. Developing skills in effec- tive speaking, listening andlor viewing is most important during this decade when so many types of communication are available to all per- sons. Knowledge of languages and a comprehen- sive vocabulary enable the individual to be more vocal. Wide reading experiences enriches the thinking and writing ability of the students well as their speaking ability.
