O. L. Plucker S upcrintendent In keeping with his desires to grant every facility and opportunity to the students ofthe Independence Pub- lic Schools Dr. Plucker has, during his three years as superintendent, been active in the planning of the new William Chrisman high school building. As a member of the present school system for the past six years, he has had an opportunity to watch the growth of the en- tire enrollment. When asked about the change from the old building to the new he replied, With the close of this year, we look forward to a new era for William Chrisman high school. The Class of 1957 will be the last class to grad- uate from the present high school building but the grand tradition of our schools will carry on. I am sure we are all proud of the hundreds of fine young men and women who completed their high school work in these halls. I am equally confident that as we move to our new building we will use these improved facilities to climb to even greater heights and to spread the fame of William Chrisman high school to ever wid- ening fields. Administrators spent a successful year Dr. Carter as administrative assistant aids Dr. Plucker in the supervision of the Independence school district.
