Dedication Sir Thomas More was regarded by one of his contemporaries as a man of an angel ' s wit and singular learning; I know not his fellow. For where is the man of that gentleness, lowliness, and affability? And as time requireth a man of marvellous mirth and pastimes; and sometimes of as sad gravity: a man for all seasons. The one to whom the 1973 CRUSADER is dedicated is a man such as More — a man generous of heart who gives more of himself to others than he gives to himself. He is always willing to go the proverbial extra mile , with no questions asked, no strings attached. The old ex- pression — he never meets a stranger — is certainly true in his case. He embraces people from all walks of life, all parts of the world, and sincerely calls each one ' friend ' . It is impossible to know him and not be affected by his vitality, his exuberance, his zest for life. He is one of those unique individuals about whom one can say in all honesty that to know him is to love him. Recognized nationally as a scholar and a leader, he is a modest man whose accomplishments would go unnoticed if left to his own discretion. He is many things to many people — teacher and friend, son and husband, citizen and neighbor, in recognition of his service and dedication to William Carey College, we honor him now as our man for all seasons, Dr. E. Milton Wheeler. 30 Dedication
