DR. J. RALPH NOONKESTER The President ' s Message William Carey College is a unique community. I know this because my family has been a part of this campus for seventeen years. The Noonkesters have lived in the President ' s Home in the midst of this campus for thirteen years. Our two children have been born here and are growing up among eight hundred young people. Ours is a cosmopolitan college representing not only numerous states and foreign countries but also all races and representatives of all the major religious denominations. There are young people from families of the very poor and the very rich in our midst. We affirm, because we know it to be true, that m the diversity of its members lies the strength of Carey College, in the interaction of people lies the growth of Carey College, and in the acceptance of each other lies the future of Carey College. ]. Ralph Noonkester 1, President

Dedication NP The 1969 CRUSADER is dedicated with much respect and devotion to Mr. Jack Rogers. He has found a magical formula for being, at the same time, both a good teacher and a good friend, f-le pushes students toward a realization of their fullest potential and motivates them to discover the world around them. He has given us a great deal — qualities like understanding and respect which cannot be measured but will stay with us forever. This dedication is a small attempt to thank him. But, for Mr. Rogers, there will never be thank-you ' s enough.
