Divided into two groups according to the schedule of classes, the art clubs meet about four times a year. Members of the club enter posters in the annual KEEP VIRGINIA GREEN poster contest, decorate homeroom doors in the school at Christmas, help in decorating the I school float for the Brookneal Christmas par- ade, participate in the story book characters parade at the dedication of the County Library, sponsor the 1966 Kodak Scholastic Photo A- wards Exhibit, and cooperate with the school and community in art activities requested by them. The Beta Club isa national honor society. The members, who have an academic average of 90, worthy character and commendable at- titude are selected from the junior and senior class. Betas sold candy and had their annual basketball game between members of the faculty and Betas to raise funds for their projects. They give a scholarship each year to a Beta senior and finance attendance of delegates to Beta Con- vention. They purchased draw draperies for the music room and gave a film of Manners to the Guidance Department.
