BOY AND GIRL STATE DELEGATES The faculty selected two boys and two girls from the eleventh grade to attend Boys' State at' Williamsburg and Girls' State at Radford College during the summer. STATES DEGREE TEAM Robert Owen, John Jennings, Carey Lee, Larry McKinney, Thomas Wade, Jimmy Organ, Larry Irby, Willie Jones, Tommy Moore, Bobby Carr. SPECIAL DELEGA TIONS The annual Beta Club Convention was held at Hotel Roanoke in April, 1966 with Mrs. Elsie Payne Guthrie, Sponsor and Mrs. Myrtle Straw accompanying the group from William Camp- bell. The SIPA founded in April, 1925, is sponsored by the Lee Memorial Jour- nalism Foundation of Wash- ington and Lee University for the purpose of uniting in a common organization scho- lastic journalists f r o m the Southern States and District of Columbia. Delegates from the newspaper andannual staffs attend the convention each year and receive ratings of t h e i r publications which are judged.
