George Eliot's SILAS MARNER and Shakespeare's JULIUS CAESAR means literature to the sophomore. In freshman English, lit e r a tu r e includes the study of DAVID COPPERFIELD. The eighth grade studies a variety of stories' and types of lit- erature. Leading a discussion of MACBETH in his senior English class, Mr. Frazier Sizemore tries to relate literature of ages past to the present.
