LIBRARY CLUB Seated: Carol Johnson, Vice President, Jackie Kerr, Reporterg Delores Leonard, President, Coretta Joy, Secretary, Mae Enoch, Treasurer. Standing: Marie Gillispie, Dorothy Pierce, Brenda Hudgens, Cornelia Scott, Janice Godsey, Helen Lewis, Peggy Jackson, Dorothy Eggleston, Nita Irby, Kendall Walker, Frances Rowles, Carroll Martin, Jimmy Toler, Miss Rachel Whitlow, Sponsor, George Car- michael. The Library Club is composed of pupils from grades nine through twelve who are willing to assist the librarian two periods each week. They help at the desk and shelves, prepare displays, make posters, and deliver notices, thus providing more effective library service. Kendall Walker helps a student check out a book. Library Club members improve the service of the library greatly as Miss Whitlow, the librarian, wouldn't have time to help the students choose books and sche- dule the films if she had to do routine jobs such as these. twig NO Nita Irby and George Carmichael complete the bulletin board decorations which mem- bers of the Library Club put up for Christ- mas. The members help make the library attractive by keeping the bulletin board decorated at all times.
