CONVENTION DELEGATES The State Beta Club Convention was held at Hotel Roanoke in Roanoke on March 20 and21, 1958. William Campbel1's Beta Club was represented by Helen Hines, Sandra Brown, Joan Lovelace, Jenny Lynn Marshall, and Mrs. Guthrie, Sponsor. They attended some of the meetings and the banquet and dance afterwards. 56

The editor and advisor chose the staff according to the contents and the manuscript form of the articles submitted. The Vox Ducis CThe Voice of the Generalj is sold monthly at five cents per copy. As one of their activities, they visited a local newspaper office in Brookneal. Members who qualify may join the National Thespian Society the purpose of which is to promote arts in secondary schools. Our club helped to present a Christmas pageant and entered a play in the one-act play festival this year.
