The Student Council is composed of the officers of the S.C.A. and representatives elected by each home room. The purpose of the Student Council is to keep the standards of the student body high. It took a big step forward when in January, it formulated a Code of Ethics which was adopted by the student body. The Code of Ethics covers scholarship, honesty, conduct, co-operation, friendliness, moral standards, religion, participation, sportsmanship, and pride in appearance. Student Council members take charge of projects in their home rooms. Julian Raney gives a response to Mr. Strickler's welcome on 7th Grade Day in May, 1958. Seventh graders from Brookneal, Gladys, and Naruna visted our school for half a day.
