AGRICULTURE FORESTRY JUDGING TEAM Sh- 'Es' Plunkett Fariss 12nd from leftb accepts the award for lst place in the 1958 StateF F A Forestry Judging Contest. Others on the Naruna F.F.A. team were Willie Scott, Bennie William son, and Mr. Dennis Riddle, Advisor. The F.F.A. sponsors several other contests which provide competition in the topics that are taught in class. Some of the other contests are Public Speaking, Crop Judging, Shop Judging, and Dairy Judging. Before participating in the State contest, a team must win the federation, district, and area contests. Vocational agricultural stud ents construct many useful items in the shop. The picture at the right is a shop scene of a freshman stu- dent constructing a two -wheel trailer, using s c r ap materials other than lumber. HOME ECQNOMICS MRS. CHRISTINE CRABTREE'S SEWING CLASS 3 i The two scenes from the Home Economics Department show a typical day with the girls learning the basic skills in sewing and learning to be good homemakers by practicing their cooking tech- niques at school.
