SCIENCE MRS. ARLINE WHlTLOW'S BIOLOGY CLASS There are two classes of eighth grade Science with the study of astronomy being the main topic of study. The two classes of ninth grade Science study the subject in general. Biology is taught three periods and they study all forms of life from microscopic life to the human torso. Chemistry is taught one period withfourteen members enrolled. BUSINESS MATHEMATICS pi ,A MR. GEORGE GOODMAN'S TYPING CLASS Typing is one of the four commercial subjects taught at William Campbell. There are forty- six students enrolled in first year typing, twenty in second year typing, twelve in bookkeeping, thirty-nine in General Business, and eleven in shorthand. Mr. Goodman instructs these classes. Mrs. Pauline Marshall teaches two classes of Geometry with an enrollment of forty-three students. HOME ECQNOMICS MRS. CHRISTINE CRABTREE'S SEWING CLASS 3 i The two scenes from the Home Economics Department show a typical day with the girls learning the basic skills in sewing and learning to be good homemakers by practicing their cooking tech- niques at school. The department is composed of two kitchens, a large reception and sewing room, and a work room. There are 104 girls enrolled in vocational home- making. MRS. LUCILLE RIEGEL'S COOKING CLASS 46
