ADMINISTRATION WILLIAM CAMPBELL HIGH SCHOOL Mr. James E. Strickler B.S., Roanoke College M.S., V.P.I. Principal Mr. Strickler has been principal of William Campbell High School since it was founded in 1951. He began his career in education in Madison Coun- ty, Virginia, where he taught for 1 year and was principal for 1 year. He then served as principal at Brookville High School for 3 years, at Naruna High School for 7 years and at Brook- neal High School for 3 years. His 8 years as principal of our school make his total number of years in the edu- cational field 23. Mr. Strickler shows the slides of his trip and tells about it at a Beta Club meeting. The trip that he, Mrs. Strickler, and Miss Annie Mays of Brookneal took during the summer was sponsored by the Na- tional Education Association and covered places of interest in the western United States. 'M-A,.,wN6Mm. Joan Lovelace, editor of THE 1958 GENERAL, presents Mr. Strickler with his 1958 yearbook. In 1956, THE GENERAL was ded- icated to him.
