The assembly bell rings, and Travis students rush to the gym to find a suitable place to sit. As the students approach the gym, they can hear the beginning strains of “Dixie.” After they settle into place, seven enthusiastic cheerleaders burst upon the scene and begin to lead the student body in roof-raising yells. The Hebei Band and majorettes perform, and Coach Myers gives an inspiring pep talk to the students. At the close of the pep rally, the football players stand behind the cheerleaders, all lock fingers, and raise hands higher and higher on the last stanza of “Rebels True.” Enthusiasm pep rally.
