Supervisors Regulate Guidance and management by competent individuals were once again the major constituents of a fruitful year of education coordination. In addition to strengthening the bond between parent and teacher, the Parent Teacher Association backed various activities to raise funds in support of school affairs. Whether athletic event, pep rally, or social function, Mr. Chance and Mr. Grigsby were always on hand. By their faithful attendance, both our principal and assistant principal, displayed their desire for improved communication between student and executive. As all organized institutions, a school system must have a legislative department. The School Board served this need well with Dr. Lee R. Gilbert, Superintendent of schools as its director. Such factors enabled the Gary Schools to top previous records for superiority of learning in our city. Superintendent, Dr. Lee R.
