Efficiency Mrs. Doyle Gruetzmacher Mrs. Mary King Miss Marian Biltz, school nurse, keeps a watchful eye on the health of Wirt students. Preparing students for future endeavors are guidance counselors Bert Ross, Ovaline Aaron, and Laverne Johnson. Serving Troopers throughout the seven-hour day were our various professional school staffs. Secretaries and other official personnel kept busy with carbon copies, game tickets and infinite piles of absentee notes. The sound of a bell brought the maintenance crew, ready to fix a leaky faucet or unload a shipment of books. Meanwhile, tantalizing aromas from the north hall indicated an industrious cooking staff carefully preparing afternoon meals for famished Troopers. This interest in all students was continued by the guidance counselors who helped plan schedules and select colleges and jobs. Wirt sadly felt the loss of Mrs. Mary Jane Uremovich, our social counselor, who symbolized this great concern and service for others. MRS. MARY JANE UREMOVICH To Look up and not down, To Look forward and not back, To Look out and not in, and To Lend a hand.
