During our senior summer Anne Palko and Kathy Finerty repre- sented Wirt at Girls' State, and Gary Rockhill and Roy Vician represented us at Boys' State. At the end of August we voted for Football-O-Rama Queen, and Sue Barnes was crowned the day before we started our Senior year. i958 Homecoming was victor- ious for the seniors. We not only won the game, but we also won the prize for beauty with our float Sue Barnes reigned supreme once more, and Sue Tillett and Leola Eklund were her senior attendants Wirt won again the second-place trophy in Gary's Peanuts for Polio Drive. Gary Apolskis was our city chairman, and Jim Tuerff, senior class president, was school chair- man. The iuniors presented Royal Hearts for our King and Queen Dance and honored us with a Senior Farewell. Our prom was the best ever, and one of our many high school lasts. lt was hard to believe that Baccalau- reate and Graduation were really for us, WE were the ones who were graduating! As the year rapidly ended, we realized that our lives were iust beginning. We gave thanks to the teachers, principals, and friends who guided us, while we looked ahead to all life holds.
