We started our cruise with great enthusiasm, and sailed from September to June. It was hard work getting pictures of everyone, writing articles, and staying after school, but it was worth every minute of it. Thanks to our skipper, Miss Armington, and our editor, Pat Egan, we were really kept working. Shirley Wood, business manager, and her assistant, Carol Anderson, did a swell job handling our money. This is the first year we've had a padded cover on the annual. The staff decided we could get them if we worked hard and sold a lot of annuals. We think it was worth it. We also changed from an engraved to a lithographed type annual and so the whole set-up was really new. Even with all the confusion we had a wonderful time. Our cruise is over and we present to you, our 1953 SANDSCRIPT. Associate Staff We really had a group of high pressure salesmen on our staff this year. In the four weeks that the annual subscriptions were on sale they managed to sell 240 copies. Herb Shultz was our high salesman, but the rest were very close behind. Our thanks to this fine group for the work and effort they put forth to sell enough books to make the work of gathering and organizing this book worth while. ASSOCIATE ANNUAL STAFF LEFT TO RIGHT—J.
