w. s. o The Wirt Student Organization was established to promote the welfare of the school, to secure the highest possible degree of cooperation between students and staff, and to provide practical training in citizenship. The Representative Council guides the work of the organization. This body is composed of the four duly elected officers, presidents, a boy and girl representative from each of the four classes, and the chairmen of the standing committees. This Council meets every other day during the entire school year to work on school problems. The Council helps set up the Social Calendar; sponsors the Willy Whirl to welcome newcomers: sponsors the McVout Soiree where all can earn money; takes charge of candy sales; handles S.O.S. Humanity Drive; gives assembly programs on special days, such as Constitution Day and Memorial Day. The officers of the W.S.O. are Paul Scherschel, President; Paul Oates, Vice-President; Pat Egan, Recording Secretary; Arlene Augustyn, Corresponding Secretary and Treasurer. t BACK ROW B. Weaver. C.
