Wright manager Team play seemed to highlight the East Gary game when the Troopers had their backs against the goal, time after time preventing scoring. The next game was the Gary Edison traveling trophy game. The spirit in the second half was over-whelming but the Troopers just could not score more than once to lose 7 to 13. The score at Merrillville was 40 to 12. The game wasn’t our biggest loss. Our main tragedy was when J. Weaver received a broken leg. The Troopers worked hard all season and finished the football lugging in high spirits. ♦ R. Allen Seres guard guard All conference Page Twenty Nine

Glasford end tackle tackle tackle center We have our own field! Now we can look back at all the hard work that went into its being. So this year we started off with field, team, coaches, and students backing up the boys at every game. With regret Coach A. Hatrak was lost due to illness, but Coach D. Scheub took his place. Page Twenty Eight W. Carlson manager J. Weaver left half G. Teeguarden quarter back D. Thews full back Coach W. Nabhan Coach D. Scheub On the afternoon of September 7, the coaches issued the first call of the season for real action. After a very exciting battle, the game ended in a 25 to 0 score, Gary Edison’s favor. Our real disaster was when Gordy Teeguarden received a concussion at the beginning of the second half. The following week the Troopers had polished their offense and defense enough to defeat the Dyer team on the Tolleston field 12 to 0. P. Scherschel right half
