So this year we started off with field, team, coaches, and students backing up the boys at every game. With regret Coach A. Hatrak was lost due to illness, but Coach D. Scheub took his place. Scheub On the afternoon of September 7, the coaches issued the first call of the season for real action. After a very exciting battle, the game ended in a 25 to 0 score, Gary Edison’s favor. Our real disaster was when Gordy Teeguarden received a concussion at the beginning of the second half. The following week the Troopers had polished their offense and defense enough to defeat the Dyer team on the Tolleston field 12 to 0. P. Scherschel right half
