School Zoo Mates Tell Their St, ory TELEGRAM Mike Monkey Jungle Trails South Africa and Elsewhere Accept apologies for using you and pals in Sandscript STOP Hope you’re not offended at representing students (pardon the expression) of Willy A. STOP Do not mean to rub your fur wrong way STOP Advise all animals affected. 1950 Sandscript Staff We really should call our zoo a dream house because that is what green blackboards, green exit lights, up-to-date classrooms and equipment mean. This fine physical setup is matched by the spirit of cooperation between students, faculty and others. We hope we can keep the building looking always new, but we hope the cooperation becomes an old story. Hallguards, lockers, lunch in the park, homework, dances, games, the traveling trophy initiated by Edison, the field trip, the Christmas pageant, the Spring Concert, “Our Hearts Were Young and Gay”, Bums' Day, being on W.W.C.A., the McVout Soiree ... all of these are part of the year. We went to classes, paid book rental, and took tests. That is part of the year too. How we wish we could have pictured them all. Here is your year. Page Three
