This year was the fourth for eleven-man football here, and was distinguished by three varsity games and Wirt’s first encounter at Gleason. SEPTEMBER 13- WIRT. 12; HOBART, 21. The season opened with a night game in the Brickie Bowl. For three quarters the Troopers fought in vain against Hobart’s great defensive feats—until the fourth quarter when they managed to push two touhdowns over, one by a quarter-back sneak and the other with a pass from Newton to Humphrey.
