It all started this morning about 7:00 when my clock-radio went off. I awoke to the most fantabulous jazz music played by Robert Boogie Gallagher. I stumbled into the kitchen to have a cup of Wake Up coffee manufactured by Joyce Martin and Company. Feeling much better, Isat down in front of the dresser. Gads, what a sight! I quickly dressed and ran down to the beauty shop to have my hair and nails done. Betty Draper, the world- famous hair stylist, did wonders for mel Now for the nails! I asked for that wonderful male manicurist, Allen Kime, but he was out, so Annie Perez did a most outstanding job. Now all I needed was a new dress, so I walked into Chastains Dresse Shoppe. There Isaw the latest fashions designed by La Nell Smith and modeled by Ann Boyd. I heard an awful noise and discovered my stomach was growling. Istepped out of the Shoppe, glanced across the street, and what do you think Isaw. A Health Bar run by Eckton, Thompson, and Witt! Ihad to pinch myself to make sure I wasn't dreaming. As I entered the door, a gracious hostess, whom I later discovered was Christina Dabney, led me to a table. I gave my order and settled back to read the newspaper. Headlines screamed atme- Barbara Roden, famed psychiatristunder psychiatric care! Aslcontinuedto glance through the paper. I saw some more interesting tidbits--Evelyn Whitmire and Colleen Williams have invented a new Presto Ditto Machine that even teachers can operate: a little ruckus down by the border was quickly halted by the ACE border patrolman, Phil Faulkg the Air Force's new plane, piloted by Leon Atwood and Diane Amick, with Anna Ruston as hostess, was flown successfully today after a few minor repairs had been made by mechanic, Charles Fisher. The gossip column written by Barbara Martinez was having a field day with Bill McCombs, James Sims, and a beautiful young heiress from New York. I laid my paper down and glanced around the room. Over in one corner I saw an intelligent-looking man pour- ing over stacks of books and papers. I finally recognized him as John Thorup, a professor of ancient history. Next to him sat two well-dressed society women who were none other than Jeanette Stegall and Kathy Sommers. I finished my meal and called a taxi. While I was waiting for the taxi, I heard faint strains of music coming from a back room in the Health Bar. I looked in and saw Jewel Ann Pratt playing the piano while Millie Wootan, a P. E. Instructor, led some monstrously fat women through exercises. As Istepped into the cab, the driver spoke and called me by name. After a second look I discovered the driver to be Rudy Arteaga. On the drive to my apartment, we passed a beautiful park where I saw five of my former classmates pushing baby carriages. They were the ex-Annie Harper, Laura Hestand, Nancy Masonheimer, Sue DeFries, and Anna Thomas. Just before reaching my apartment, we got tangled up in one of those complicated clover-leafs. When we finally got our bearings, I saw a sign saying--Constructed by Zum Mallen and Pratt, Engineers, Inc. As I entered the hall, I was met by my landlord, Darrell McPherson, who told me that he had sent David Miranda, an established carpenter, up to repair the broken table leg. I kicked off my shoes, turned on the T. V. and settled down in an easy chair. I dozed off, but awoke suddenly to the sound of a gunfight going on between the El Paso Kid, portrayed by David Tanner, and Wyatt Earp and Doc Holliday, respectively Noel Forsyth and Ken Cocke. Wow! T. V. stars, no less. Continued to page 102 SENIOR CLASS WILL Diana Amick happily wills her underlined Civics book to James Chapman. Joyce Berryman wills her height to Leon Hansen. It was Dot Diehl inviting me to a party to celebrate her and Ronnie Riggs' successful in- vention of an electronic brain. Irushed to the cleaners to see whether I could have my new dress pressed for that evening. The proprietres was none other than Jean Layher, and she immediately okayed the pressing job. We had a nice little chat while I wait- ed. Continued from page 35 Iwas admiring a unique modem painting at the party that evening. My hostess told me that it had been painted by Ray Sisneroz. While mingling with the party guests, I happened to overheat a rather heated discussion among three coaches, Carl Clapp, Larry Brunson and Bob Gantenbien, as to whose team was the best. I meandered over to the other side of the room to chat with a couple of old friends. James Boyd, looking much the same, told me that he was ranch- ing and busy raising a herd of little Boyds. It seemed as if Jane Neely had solved her age-old problem by not only marrying, but by acquiring a private plane, too. A rustle of silks was heard, everyone turned his head, and in walked Alice Morgan with the most beautiful vicuna coat and diamonds sparkling all over the place. She married a rich general. Right behind her came dentist Dan Misenhimer and his two receptionists. Joyce Berryman and Sandra Riggs. Well, it seems as if this is quite a night of celebration. Dr. Travis Lee, with his three nurses, Mel Hollifield, Betty Wilson and Cody Williams, had just performed a very delicate brain operation. The hostess announced that we were very honored to have two distinguished guests among us, Wayne Cosby, an Air Force electronics expert, and Barbara Hodges, governor of Oklahoma. AI this, CBTDCIBS Started clicking, flashbulbs popping, and Mary Rubal and Isabel Flores, roving reporters, had another scoop. Ihadn't seen or heard of Larry Laton, Marvin Motes, Jim Standley, and Allen Kime, so I inquired about them. I was told that they were all on a ten-day pleasure trip, Celebrating Jirrfs, Lan-y'5 and Allerfs birthdays, Well diary, you see today has been a very eventful day. l have either seen or heard of most of my former classmates. Each of them has become quite successful in his own way, not like me, an old-maid school teacher! --- Kay Dickerson --- --Continued from Page 36 Cody l-iilliams ' r-.' ills her ability to get along in the band to Carmen Martinez Carl Clapp wills his Futuristic Chevy to Johnny B.
