Principal ' s Message President ' s Message Again this year, Willard pupils have made a fine record in many fields, and brought credit to themselves and their school. In scholarship, Gold Ws were awarded to 16 High Nine pupils, the largest number ever awarded. Many other pupils made outstanding records in scholar- ship and citizenship. A number of pupils took part in essay, art, and industrial arts contests; our teams made good records in sports, and our music groups reached a high standard in concerts and in competition. Our High Nines were prominent in all of these ac- tivities, and we know that they will continue their good work as they go on to high school. H. N. McClellan. During the past semester as president of the Student Council, I have enjoyed working with Mr. Sitkin, Mr. McClellan, and the members of the Student Council. It has been a pleasant as well as an educational ex- perience. Our student Association has had a successful year. School assemblies, paid for by our Student Body Cards, were of an exceptionally high order. Dances and the Sports Carnival were most satisfactory. The number of students participating through the purchase of Student Body Cards was excellent. I would like to thank our sponsors for their patience and cooperation. Best of luck to the High Nines of Fifty-five in Berkeley High School next year and those remaining here at Willard. Richard Adachi.
