FIRST ROW: Donald Alford. Helen Ellis. Richard Jump. SECOND ROW: Jeanette Smith. Clinton Lash. Verna Williams. Our Gatekeepers... The Board Of Education As the gates of school close behind us and the gates to the future open before us, we, the Seniors of 1951, wish to express our appreciation to the Board of Education. They have held the key to our success all during our twelve years of school. They have shown us that the way to success is through labor. With our welfare always in mind they have done much to make our school days more pleasant. All has been done with no personal gain for themselves. For these many acts of thoughtfulness we wish to thank our gatekeepers, the Board of Education. 4

The Eternal Gates Have Welcomed Her On July 9, 1948, our class was stunned to hear the news of the death of one of its most popular girls. On that date, Lois Moll, who had been with us only a year, died during an operation. Her death was a severe blow to the students who had become fond and respectful of her in that short time. Lois was an active member of the high school girls' glee club. Is we approach Success’s Gate, your memory we share— A precious thing to us, who found your death so hard to bear. To seek success along with us teas not to be your fate; The realization of your goal lay through the Eternal Gate.

The Locksmiths Forge The Keys To Our Success Mr. Dale W. Gales and Mr. Peter A. Wiebe, our super- intendent and principal, are truly the keystones to Willard High. We wish to thank them, for we know that with- out their counsel we might never have learned the com- bination to our treasure chest of knowledge.
