FENIORS We are the seniors. We have four of our best years behind us. Four years in which we have had many and varied experiences. As freshmen we did the usual things . . . joined clubs, had parties, and a class assembly with the catchy title of J unior's First Shave . Then in our sophomore year, along with our other doings, we served at the junior-senior banquet and antici- pated what ours would be like next year. As juniors we blossomed forth as upper- classmen, had a play called Just Eighteen . . . only about four months late, dreamed up one of the best junior- seniors where we transported everyone to Mexico, and went as a body to bac- calaureate, where we first got our sense of the responsibility to come with our seniorship. ' Then in the fall of '41, we were at last the seniors. The leaders of the school. We gave to Willard High the first double championship of both football and bas- ketball in the Little Big Four League, were thrilled by the rush of having our pictures taken, our senior play, the senior-junior prom, and the appearance of our annual. Then came the last act, our baccalaureate. Andthe final curtain call, our commencement. ' We are the youth of the inbetween. We are at the start of a finish. The start of the work that's to be done and must be done. We have had the fun of dates, sports, music, rehearsals, plays. And now all that is gone. We were the sen- iors and now we begin again. V
