Band The many activities of the band under the direction of Victor Wydensee included playing at games, taking trips, going to the District Music Contest and furnishing entertainment on spec- ial occasions, This year a dance band was formed with band members participating. The dance band has played for school assemblies, dances after games and the Twirp Week Dance. The German band plays for school activities as well as outside functions. Officers were: president, Larry Petersen, vice-president, Wes Bains, secretary, Wyona Falk, treasurer, Janet Harding. udic The A Cappella Choir consisting of 40 members under the direction of Robert Hemphill, performed at P, T, A, special assemblies, the Christmas pro gram and a joint concert with the band in the fall, The choir had a spring Con- cert and attended the District Music Contest. The choir also sang at the Negro Spiritual Festival with Jester Harriston directing. Ensembles composed of choir members performed at various places.
