The Willamette Chapter of Future Home- makers of America has 30 active members. The purposes of the club is to promote appre- ciation of homemaking and further interest in home economics. The social meetings are the highlight of the organization this year, Dele- gates attended the South Willamette District Meeting at Corvallis were: Martha Short, Joan Kundert, and Myrtle Pederson, Officers for the year were: Thelma Linde- land, Presidentg Joan Kundert, Vice-president, Myrtle Pederson, secretaryg and Carol Coy, treasurer. Mrs, Bernice Willcox, adviserg and Mrs. Sam Scofield, and Mrs, Kundert, chapter mothers, The Willamette Chapter of FBLA has Z2 active members. The purpose of the club is to interest young men and women in the field of business, The club went on field trips to business offices, studied various business machines, and helped four schools organize FBLA clubs, The main money-making project was a chili dinner. The money was used to pur- chase awards for business students and send representatives to the state convention. Officers are: Myrtle Pedersen, presi- dentg Carol Crabtree, vice president, Clara Elder, secretaryg Phyllis Barrell, treasurer Pat Bolinger, historian, and Mrs. Inez Loveless, adviser. The Girls' Athletic Association con- sists of girls interested in leisure sports This year the senior high girls spon- sored a sports day with Eugene, Spring- field, and Elmira as guests. They also attended a sports day at Springfield. The girls spent a day skiing at Willamette Pass and ended the year with their annual Week-end trip, Officers were: president, Charlotte Pritchard: vice-president, Jeanette Harding, secretary, Joyce Olsen, treasurer Pat Nielsen, advisor, Bertha Tohkanen. The junior high girls, a little less active, sponsored an intramural program, went on skating and swimming parties, camping trips, and took bowling instruction classes.
