Not Pictured: Raymond Taylor and Gary Kunselman. archery club The Archery Club met every Wednesday afternoon on the lawn of Willamette High during the fall and spring months. The winter months were spent by the club making useful archery equipment. The officers were: Duane Posernan, presi- dent, Marvin King, secre- tary-treasurer and Ed Hinck- ley, advisor. ll .A 7 l rifle club The Willamette High School Rifleman Club, through the cour- tesy of the National Guard, met every Thursday evening at the Eugene Armory this post year, The group is composed of mem- bers of the student body for the purpose of developing skill in the use of the rifle as well as learning safe, correct methods of handling the weapon. The club officers for the past year werei Bruce Mor- tensen, president, James Swen- sen, secretary-treasurer and Ed Hinckley, advisor. The objective ofthe Senior and Junior High Girls' Leagues are to promote friendship and to provide social activi- ties for the student body. Among their many contributions to the school the Senior High Girls' League has sponsored two assemblies, Twirp Week, Girls' of the Month, and the Mother and Daugh- ter Tea. Senior high officers ore: Sylvia Haligus, Darlene Ross, Ann Schnell and Marlys Munro, seated. Pat Taylor and Betty senior drama The purpose of this organization is to pro- mote dramatic activity among th e students.
